Starry 4 upgrades.
If all you need to know is how the XMAX Starry 4 Dry Herb Vape differs from the Starry 3.0 Dry Herb Vaporizer the following list of Starry 4 upgrades may help.

The Starry 3.0 heats up in 30 seconds, only has two times session options, charges via micro USB and turns on or off by holding the power button for three seconds. It doesn't have screen flip, adjustable airflow, included dosing capsules nor silicone mouthpiece covers.
How to Use the XMax Starry V4.
- Remove the mouthpiece and load the herbs into the chamber.
- Replace the mouthpiece.
- Triple-click the power button to turn on the device.
- Use the up/down buttons to select a temperature between 100°C and 240°C.
- Let the device heat up until it vibrates, indicating it's ready. For optimal performance, wait a few more seconds after the vibration.
- Inhale slowly, like you’re sipping a hot beverage, from the mouthpiece. Adjust the airflow to your preference.
- Exhale and enjoy!
- Repeat steps 6-7, increasing the temperature if you wish, until herbs are fully extracted.
- Triple-click the power button again to turn off the device when finished. If you forget, the unit will automatically turn off when the session timer expires.
- Swap out the battery or recharge via USB-C as needed.
XMax Starry V4 Temperature Guide.
Different temperatures will produce different effects in all vapes.
- 170°C - 185°C. Excellent flavor, smooth vapor. The lower end of the temperature range emphasizes terpenes and flavor. Vapor production is lighter but the experience is more relaxed.
- 190°C - 205°C. Balanced flavor and vapor production. The middle temperature range offers a bit fuller vapor with a nice flavor balance. Many find this the ideal point.
- 210°C - 240°C. Bigger, denser vapor clouds. The higher settings produce thick, dense clouds that vapor enthusiasts will love. However, flavor is compromised at the expense of volume.

Suitable Grinders?
Please note that all conduction vapes require a Fine Grind which is easily created using a 2PC Herb Grinder. A 4PC Grinder will create a coarse grind typically which is more suitable to convection vapes.
Some people do have 4PC grinders with a fine screen so the end result is a nice fine grind, ideal for all conduction vapes. See all of our Grinders here. Croc Crusher and Santa Cruz Shredder 2PC is the best bet!

XVAPE Xmax STARRY Parts & Mods. Compatible Starry 3 Parts.
If you want to hook your Starry 4 Vaporizer up to a Water Pipe, Bong, Water Piece, Bubbler etc. you will need some kind of adapter to connect your vape to the glass.
Below we have a few options, the XVAPE Starry Fog Pro WPA below is perfect for the Starry 4. One end slides over your swivel mouthpiece on the Starry v4.0 and the other end is a 14mm frosted glass fitting that will pair nicely with our 14mm Bubblers or our very custom made Haze DUO Bong. Lots of customers with these mouthpieces on their vape (Crafty+, Fog Pro etc.) are using the Whip Adapter to hook up a Bong or simply buying the Whip with the Mini Bubbler included. Using a proper Bubbler or a decent Bong is certainly going to be much better as far as H2O vapor filtering goes, the small bubbler is fun to use but you will get much better cooling from a larger one.

Vapor Quality, Draw Resistance, Usage Tips.
While The Xmax Starry vaporizer does have better flavor than other conduction units at or below this price, it is still like most conduction vaporizers. Great taste at lower temps, especially on the first couple rips but as the temp goes up and the session goes on, the taste goes downhill. The good news is that the Starry 4 vape will put out HUGE clouds on the higher temps. With a tight pack and a nice fine grind (2pc Grinder), you will be thoroughly impressed with the vapor output. The Starry 4 will also vape very evenly with no need to stir but we still do because it can really make a difference but not always. If you take a peek into the oven you can quickly tell if it's vaping evenly or not, look for color, Green is yet to vaped, Light Brown is on the way to being done and Dark Brown is finished. If uneven, use a small tool or toothpick to stir the oven and repack it. Try this before you increase the temperature. Then you can enjoy lots of vapor and great flavor without being too close to the combustion level where taste goes out the window.
XVAPE Xmax Starry 4.0 Tips.
We recommend a fine grind. You can achieve a fine grind by picking up something like the Santa Cruz Shredder or a Croc Crusher, a 2PC Grinder is best suited to this vaporizer.
We have gained the best results with a fully packed chamber. You really don't want to leave any void at all in any conduction vape. This is why the Pax 3 comes with a half pack oven lid, to fill the empty space/void.
Like we mentioned earlier, the lid and mouthpiece tend to get hot with prolonged use. When vaping a long endurance session you can use your hand or fingers to help dissipate the heat from the unit before a draw. Just place your fingers over the mouthpiece when you’re waiting for the next draw and it will cool it down. It's always much cooler at the very tip of the mouthpiece.
Cleaning and Maintenance.
Overall the cleaning and maintenance is very easy with the Xmax Starry 3.0 especially if you stay on top of it and brush out the chamber and lid after every session. Like we said, the screen will collect the most debris so try to keep it clean for best results.
BUY AN OVEN SCREEN 10 PACK.
A full clean is easy. Just throw some ISO on a cotton bud, wipe out the chamber (with the unit upside down so nothing drips down into the unit), then wipe or soak the lid and mouthpiece and you’re good to go. The cheapest ISO Alcohol we have found is at JayCar Electronics, it comes in a large 250ml spray bottle for $12 NZD. You can order it online and have it shipped to your home in New Zealand.
